Ms Liz Franklin was welcomed to the company for the first time, although the phrase “How does she put up with him?” established itself as an early topic of conversation.

The tenacity and resolve of the 100%er was the subject of admiration.
There was generalised lamenting at the absence of Mr J.L. Wilkinson who, after much effort and searching, had found something better to do in Derbyshire.

The persistence of Hibbert, M.J. was noted. This year he flew in from Bhodrun, Turkey, which is further east than Burton Joyce.
The possibility of inviting Haggard, P.N. to address the Association on neurological issues and escapology techniques was discussed.
